HELP - Can't download mods?
So I've been able to download mods in the past, and I've tried everything... but everytime I play the game, the mod download says "Updating mod... 0% complete." I've been waiting forever and I do have downloads enabled in the background for all steam games but... this is just ridiculous. Any tips?

I've never seen anyone else have this issue. Are you using the in-game interface to download the mod initially from the Workshop? I always use the mods subscription button or download them from Banished Info and World of Banished. (The latter method makes sure I don't get any of the unauthorized copies that litter the Steam Workshop.)

- First, download the mod package file from Banished Info or World of Banished.

- Then locate the folder where you installed Banished. This should normally be the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Banished\. Or a other location where Banished is installed.

- The installation folder of Banished contains a folder named "WinData", in this folder has to be copied the downloaded file (mod_name.pkm).

- Start Banished.

- From the main menu select the button mods.

- In the Mod List is now the downloaded Mod. To activate the mod, you must click on the Enable button.

- Then click OK. This mod is loaded, the game must be restarted, confirm the following dialog with Yes.

- After the restart of the game the MOD should be there.

If your problem still occur than I suggest to make a fresh install of Banished.

I have considered trying this, but I'd prefer to avoid manual downloads... I am attempting to download them from the workshop. I have steam interlay in-game enabled, and in-game downloads enabled. I have tried subscribing to the mods just on the Steam application without the game open, and have tried searching the workshop for mods directly from the "Mods" menu in Banished.

If there are no other ways, I will definitely use this, thank you. But, again, I would really prefer a fix for the automated Workshop download. Thanks :llama:

You could try to run Banished, wait till its in the main menu and than alt+tab back to desktop and use than the automated workshop download, this could work.
