Logicless Citizens with Illness
I recently had an outbreak of Yellow Fever in my town. Fortunately, I had a hospital for every 50-60 people. I saw one person get the illness and began to follow him. He went to get firewood. Naturally, because pathfinding throws up odd choices, this saw him trog about 2/3 of the way across the map to get it, all the while being ill. He then, having got his firewood, decided to go to the doctor. He walked past the hospital that was situated about 10 steps from the storage pile, which also had a grand total of 0 patients at that time, and walked the entire length of the town to the one at the other end.

I love this game, but I can't help but feel that it would perhaps be better if the ai considered some mildly less silly options, like interrupting whatever action the sick person was doing, and then heading for the nearest hospital.

I've never bothered getting hung up on what 1 individual villager is doing. As long as the town is functioning ok as a whole that's enough for me.

It was indicitive of the logic that most of the sick people went with. I assume if they don't get treated quick enough, they'll die, which is why it's aggravating when they trek across the map twice before seeking treatment.

LOL. They have to trudge all over the map infecting others, i did state in another post that i'd love a button on villagers themselvs to force a doc visit.

I have two hospital's one in the north and one in the south, I had 15 + go to the one in the north, none to the one in the south. Also what good does healing oil and healing poultice do? I have over 200 of each in stock that I got from a trader. I had many people die.

I think they are the same as the herbs,so they don't help during outbreaks,just for general health.

Shame that the priority button in the context menu doesnt address that kind of issue. Im experiencing builders !diotic approach by building a stone walk, he goes to a stockpile, grabs 33 stones, comes to the path to make one square, then heads back to stockpile drop 32 stones and then walks back with now empty hands to again, make one square of stone walk, and after finishing that hes on the way to the stockpile again, and this repeats for ever, which wasnt an issue half an hour ago, when the colony just started. Not to mention they all behave oddly, its like they become demented past 4 seasons and start to do unthinkable and sabotage the growth by dying. Its what they deserve ffs.:steamfacepalm:
