Do Mods disable Achievements?
I fulfilled the necessary requirements for the achievement 'Builder' but it didn't unlock.
Is there a problem in regards to using mods in the game and the mods preventing the achievements from unlocking? :(

Yes. No achievements while using mods. :(

Some mods would make it extremely easy to complete some achievements. The debug menu is a good example :) That's one reason achievements get disabled.

However, a longtime complaint is that language translation also disables achievements. That's just a poor design choice, but the game was stuck with it at this point.

To be honest I'm suprised no one made a mod which reactivates achievements when playing with mods, which happened with Cities: Skyline.

You can only mod what's available to mod... achievements aren't something that're available to mod in Banished.

Of course, if someone just wants the achievements without doing the work, they can simply load someone else's saved games.

I wish I new that before I started to do the 300 population withouth schools. I only had a few mods, like no coal used in houses, an extra stone bridge for estetic and specialised stockpiles. Not sure I can go through the pain of having 300 uneducated people again. It's SO inefficient.

Satioh I just finished that achievement. So glad it's done. Thankfully I read advice from someone stating how crucial it was to have an educated blacksmith as long as you can from the original group (typically first 10 years). Make as many tools as you possibly can so the uneducated blacksmith doesn't cripple your efforts, especially if you are mining for iron and stone. Not only do they break more tools, they seem to die in accidents more often. I had a long lull from traders not bringing iron/stone/tools but my surplus kept me in the game.
