Coal not heating houses?
So before I played with any mods coal could be used to heat houses. I've started playing with New Medieval Towns and Colonial Charter and it seems that my citizens won't use coal as a source of heat anymore. Is this normal for these mods or am I just missing something?

Can't use coal for houses when you use CC - people had asked that coal be reserved for professions. Can convert coal to coke using Stacksburner which houses can use.

gotcha, thanks. I wasn't producing that much fire wood because I needed the logs for other things but my people were all cold and I couldn't figure out why. I've now increased firewood production to make up for it.

The Stacksburner can be used to make charcoal from logs. It's much more efficient than producing firewood. You get 4 firewood from 1 log but you get 11 charcoal from 1 log.

Aye, stacksburners are pretty much a requirement in CC if you are planning to set up a lot of industrial buildings and fancy housing. Furnace Fuel, Lumber and Furnitures on top of Firewood is just a super huge drain on the logs. Better off with charcoal :)
