Iron Glitch?

I have a problem with Iron. The window which shows how many of what resouce I have shows zero Iron. When I check stockpiles I have a few hundred total iron in a couple of stockpiles. Because of this my tool smith won't make tools. I am stumped on how to fix this. Any help will be appreciated.

there is a difference between IRON and IRON ORE... please check carefully.... the little window only shows how much IRON you have stored, not the IRON ORE....

have a similar problem, iron is mined but not done away.
The material remains just lie.
All other materials are as usual processed.
Can it hang together with the one and the other Mod?

Thanks Lori. I had a bunch of iron ore laying around. Added a forge and was able to get actual iron.
