Mega 8 vs 9?

I have 5 days experience with the MM8. It's slow but I'm getting used to the different themes, houses, and resource buildings.
My question is: should I download 9 before I get too deep with the 8?
Is it worth the time to install? Are they that different? And is 9 full of bugs?

I wouldn't work with MM9 until you are more familiar with MM8,

Megamod 9 is still just in Beta, and while I find it very playable, I was familiar already with MM8. MM9 is 6 files and easily twice as large as MM8. The icons are different, more intuitive, but are subject to change, and break your games. I have had one update break my previous games already.

Also, if MM8 is running slow on your computer, then MM9 will likely crash your computer. It is a HUGE Mod!
