Mouse cursor moves on its own

I have not played Banished in a long time, but when I tried to start it today the mouse cursor is moving on its own constantly diagonally toward the top left corner of the screen.

Does not happen in any other game I have and it stops as soon as I exit Banished again. Makes the game unplayable. Anyone seen similar issues?

(I tried to enable software mouse rendering, but then I get two cursors which are both moving in the same way)

I am not using any mods.

Huh. I think I've had this happen a couple of times with various games. Have you tried to use alt+tab to close the game tab and then return to it? I think that's what fixed it for me. That or turning the mouse off and then on again.

Alt-tab does not help, the mouse keeps moving like that even on the windows desktop as long as the game is running.

I tried to disconnect the mouse, but the cursor keeps moving even with the mouse disconnected, the only thing stopping it from moving seem to be to exit the game.

If you have a mouse using laser, look if there's a hair or something in front of it. If you use one of the very old-school mouses, open it to take the ball out and look if anything else is in there.

Thanks, but I am pretty sure this is game related. Mouse moves perfect as long as Banished is not running, especially since the mouse cursor is moving on its own even without a mouse connected at all.
