Only pumpkins?

Im just wondering if i will ever get any other crops? All i can plant is pumpkins...

You have to BUY seeds from a merchant! Then you can plant other crops, not before.

I've always ended up with either Beans & Potatoes or... beans & potatoes.... except once I had pumpkins! It think its just random what you start with, but beans and potatoes seems to be most of my choices....

Try Adam and Eve and start with no seeds.

It's actually the easiest way to start in my opinion.

It allows you to build slowly, and in doing so avoids starvation, freezing and all those other early game problems.

Don't try using a kind of real time aging / 1 year is 1 year with an Adam & Eve start though. You'll have 11 years to survive with just 2 workers. It's mind-meltingly slow! :D

I have had a good start without any problems, havent lost a single villager, everything going well. It feels very easy honestly. I mean, i have a ton of food and firewood. Right now im just building new buildings and garthering resources not much else to do.

Once you figure out what jobs you need at the beginning its very easy even on the hardest difficulty.

Difficulty only determines what you start with.The rest of the game is the same.

It's slow but it works.

Just needs patience.
