silkworm and silkworm eggs

I am trying to get silkworms going but I can't get the eggs. I find it frustrating that you can't build the silkworm hut with out silkworm eggs when you could start it with silkworms also.

It is frustrating but you just have to wait for a trader who has eggs to sell. Patience:)

When a merchant comes, check to see if you can order Silkworm Eggs from him so you get them sooner. They'll cost more, but it's worth it. Make sure you have White Mulberry trees too so you can feed the silkworms.

Can you use Red Mulberry also?

Nopes. From the top of my head, red mulberry produces fruits as food for your town, while the white mulberry one produces the leaves eaten by the silkworms.

I have four trade docks and none of them are getting any silkworm eggs, I have checked under the order screen and there is none.

It can take a long time before a trader comes along that deals in silkworm eggs. Ckeck the order screen on a number of traders as many of them do not deal in the eggs so they would not show up on their screens.

Are you using the Colonial Charter 1.76 mod? I think it is the only mod that produces silk.

FYI - In the town I'm playing now I finally got some silkworm eggs after 67 yrs.
