Crop field and farming isn't working

hey bois so i just started playing this game i came trough tutorial then i first made my town evrything worked good but i made another town where i tried making Crop Field well.. it kinda didn't worked because when i did it (i had already 3 farmers ready) it said "Working in this location is disabled" and i couldn't enable it so i thought i need to wait to another season or something, it did nothing, my farmers were like doing nothing and walking around town just watching and eating all my food :)) then i seen a video to enable that thing on it and i had it black so i couldn't click on it.. pls help :D

Did you accidentally turn-off the "Work" function of the crop field?
Click on the crop field. In the small window that opens, you should see 3 buttons in the middle area. The button on the far right is the "Work" button. The button should be illuminated if it is on. Push on this button to test where it is currently set.

Another thing to check is the food limit. Has your total amount of food exceeded the food limit that is set. If it has, you need to increase the food limit, so that your farmers (and other food producing structures) continue to produce food.

well when i placed crop field, assigned farmer and other things it just instant said The work is disabled in this location, and i cant enable it same goes for other farms except fishing station that works completely fine and hunting cabin but only these farms for planting seeds etc, idk what is the problem but im already far in the game i have big town and the food is the main problem because of farms i have like 7 fishing station 3 hunting cabins, the only big problem is only farms that wont work

Also, if it is a new crop field, you obviously need to select the kind of food you want planted here. Click on the crop field, and in the small window that opens, push the button on the far left side. You should then see a drop down list, and you should select the style of food you wish to plant (of course you need to have/buy seed to plant crops).

and thats the problem :D i cant do anything with farm just to place them and thats all i cant even select what kind of food i want to plant there, it worked in tutorial but not in tis save

Are you sure you have seed? You can not just build a crop field and want to plant a crop without having seed. If you are playing on "easy" you are given one or two free seed batches. But on hard, I believe you get none to start. You need to trade stuff and acquire seed to have functioning crop fields. Otherwise, your field is built and is there, but you can not do anything with it. Could this be your problem?

Have you built a Town Hall? If you have, you can check to see what seed you currently have. Click on the Town Hall, and you should see the small info window open-up. One of the tabs along the top, allows you to check what seed and what animals you currently have or have purchased. Check on this tab if you have a Town Hall.

If you are still having problems, can you supply an image? If so, click on the crop field and allow the small info panel window to open, then take a picture of your screen and supply us with an image or two.

If you are playing on hard, you have no seed of any type when you start the game.
You will need to build a Trading Post, and then stock the Trading Post with something you have an abundance of (like firewood, venison, fish, herbs, etc). Seed is very expensive, so you will need to inventory quite-a-bit of merchandise to acquire the seed. Also, depending on the trader that arrives, some are picky and will only accept certain type of items you have, to trade for the seed.
If you did the tutorials, then you remember how "to trade."

PS: Be careful with the type of seed you buy, because there is a difference between the type of food you can plant in your "Crop Fields" and in your "Orchards." Crop Fields are usually vegetables and grain, and Orchards are fruit and nuts.

Are you sure you should be playing on Hard? It might be better to play at a lower level until you get to know the game.

When you describe a problem, you should give as many details as possible. For example you say, "it said working in this location is disabled". No, it said that when you hovered your cursor over the little yellow stop sign in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window for the farm. These are details we would need to help you. I did an example some time ago where I had a small population, and 3 farms. But the farms were only 3x3, and had 7 people working them. No wonder people starved. The details are important.
