Where do you get seeds from?

Do you get them from the gatherers hut or something like that? I can never farm due to lack of seeds.

One can buy seed from a passing merchant boat. (If you have a trader)

First, you need to build a Trader Post near water. Then assign at least one of your citizen as trader and bring there some products. Wait untill a boat come to your town and look if he brought any seeds to trade. You only one seed per fruit and costs always 2500. Buy and ready to use.

I have had a trader come to my dock but i can't really figure out how to buy things properly.

Go to your trader post and look in inventory. Assign products to be brought to the traders post for storage that can be used to trade with. Ideally you want things that trade better than 1:1.

Good things to trade early game are firewood and herbs.Make sure you are buying seeds and not the actual food.You will know by the price,and you only need to buy 1.

Under CC seed cost will range from 2500 to 5000
