Unless you want to use your logs, you may want to mine coal. Fuel Refinery will take coal and turn into Fuel. This will be used at the forge as well as iron ore to make iron. Iron can be turned into Joists, one of the items needed to make building materials. When you have all the items needed the Building Supplier will make the Building Materials. If you choose to use copper pipes as part of your building materials you will need to build cooper mines as well and at the forge you turn the ore into copper. A Cooper will take the copper and turn into copper pitpes that the Building Supplier will add with other materials to make Building Supplies.
You can also build the industry trader and just trade for building supplies. This way you dont have to bother with the supply chain to make 3 different items that get used for making building materials.
