📣🎮 Demo Gamepad Support is finally here!

Hi everyone!
I hope you had the happiest holidays, and I whish you a happy New Year's Eve and a Happy 2025! ✨

The demo update is finally out! As mentioned in a previous announcement, there's no new content in this update (no new customers, food, decor). Here's a little breakdown of the main changes:

Controller support: You can now play the demo with your Xbox or PlayStation controllers! And also play on Steamdeck! Other controllers (like the Switch Pro Controller) are still under testing - if you try any out and find a bug, please report it!
UI changes: Some UIs have been updated to fit the gamepad experience, such as the Options menu.
Camera shake fix attempt: The way the camera moves has been reworked in an attempt to avoid the uncontrollable shaking some users were experiencing. None of the testing machines can reproduce this issue. If you still encounter this issue after the update please report it so I can keep working on it.
Other tiny bug fixes and technical stuff (not very interesting, such as geometry rendering wrongly, UX fixes, etc.

I'm so excited to announce that Nom Nom: Cozy Forest Café will be part of TGAGWCAGA 2024, or The Game Awards for Games Who Can't Afford the Game Awards this Friday, December 13th!

TGAGWCAGA is a brand new showcase designed to spotlight incredible indie games that truly deserve more attention—while also poking a bit of fun at the exclusivity of The Game Awards.

Next update info:

I've been working on controller support and some bug fixes for the current uploaded demo. This means there will be an update but content will not be added - instead, some interfaces and controls have been reworked.

Hopefully this fixes any issues you've encountered while trying the demo. I'll make an update announcement when it's up!

Before I go, I wanted to take a minute to thank you for your patience. Making a game is a massive task and I'm working mostly alone. I know you are excited for the game to release and I'm so happy we are nearing 40k wishlists. I also know I do not update you as much as I'd like to. It's very touching to me that you are still here and support me through it. Every time I get sick, the development is slightly delayed. Every time someone in my family needs my support, the development is slightly delayed. Every time I need a break, the development gets slightly delayed. Yet so many of you are still here. Thank you.

NEW DEMO is LIVE NOW!

🥰 Hi everyone!
As promised, after the Indie Dev Day event in Barcelona, 🔔the DEMO is now LIVE for everyone to try out!🔔

🍴 In this Demo you can only cook for one customer (randomly chosen between Mooon, Mlem and Vori), but I've included the option to prepare takeaways at the vending machine so you can try out up to 4 different recipes (boba, nom sticks, coffee and cookies).
🛋️ There's also a pool of decoration items and all the colours and finishes are unlocked so you can play with the decoration system! Keep in mind that every time you load the game, the save data will be reset and a random customer will be chosen, so you can meet all three of them.

Giving you a taste of what I'm cooking here is very exciting for me!😏 The full game will have 10 customers, 10 recipes, more furniture options and more mini-games (that you have not seen yet)!

Anyone else having issues?

Hey there I just got the demo. I use my steam deck and Xbox controller and the game is so bad it shakes violently and won't stop unless I restart it. It looks like it's only geared to a mouse, I can't even use the touch screen or anything. I have to reset. Am I the only one having issues? I want to play so badly!...

Hi, I really enjoyed the demo on the Steam Next Fest last year and look forward to the game. On the website, it says that it was supposed to release in Q4 2023. Now, I know that game development is hard and life happens - I hope you are alive and well! I'd just love to know what to expect. Can you post a short blog post here on Steam about the progress towards release?...

Demo available at the upcoming Steam Next Fest

The Nom Nom: Cozy Forest Café demo will be available at Steam Next Fest from October 9th to 16th. During the demo you will be able to meet one of the café's adorable customers and prepare one of the many recipes that will be included in the final version of the game....
