It breaks my heart that this franchise never really got the playerbase it deserves. I don't get why their games flopped, I guess the potential demographic is pretty small but the games are really fun. Ah well.

Yea, I remember playing FFA matches on Kongregate and how heavy the game was on the browser.

Bruh people really acting like 80 People is a low number. Maybe to an online kid who never leaves the basement. Go outside and count a group of 12 15 people alone. that is the mass on "low player count" games. That is still tons of people. Just sad how everyone expects 50,000 players on average or nothing at all. Even then people claim 8,000 players is a low number. If you even look back at history of warfare most battles were fought between 50 to 250 sometimes rarer 500 to 800 men per battle. Those were the most common skirmishes in medieval history. in world war 1 you can only fit probably a few hundred guys in one trench unit most units obviously have regiments battalions squads companies small units. And that is more so what these games are. Small combat regiments fighting it out. like 30 60 guys sometimes platoon levelish 200 300.

So many amazing memories... Cant believe its been 10 years allready.
From the browser game to full release, had a great run with this game

Thinking back on the years 2014-2016 I almost only played VERDUN - man it was in fact the best playing years I have ever had with a particular game! I still long back to these days, playing with some great guys and girls out there. Yep - a videogame can also belong to classic education - VERDUN is in this connection second to none. THXs DEVS for all these great hours in the trenches!

Verdun is the first game i bought on my steam account. It was in early access and there were only french poilus and chasseurs and german landers and alpenjagers. I miss the multiplayer only aspect the bots ai is really bad, but ive had lots of fun with this game i just wish it had more players.

the games they have made are so amazing and as a history lover the ww1 game series has some of the most amazing games ever but maybe to increase player counts you could try to include all maps and characters somehow into isonzo like valve did l4d1 to l4d2 because they just added everything from l4d1 into l4d2
