Proximity Voice Chat, A must have in my opinion!
A voice chat in which you can only speak to the people near you would be extremely fun. Imagine yelling across the trench to the bloke in front of you who is taking cover "Oi mate, I'll give you some covering fire while you move up"
or yelling charge as you all run towards the trenches or giving orders to soldeirs as the NCO and heck, imagine talking to the enemy as you sit in opposite trenches. This is an incredibly fun oppurtunity that Red Orchestra 2 missed and I'd love to see Verdun take it.

I like this idea it would be great and help make the game more about strategy than just run in and shoot.

Yes please!

It's a bit jarring to not be able to talk to people right next to you. I'm not expecting team-wide radio communications—text chat actually works like that right now—but being able to coordinate your actions with people closeby would make the squad system make a lot more sense. Right now teamwork is really hard.

I think a proximity radio chat within a 10 meter radius is a good starter, akin to the Squad radio chat the player has. Place it on a separate button, and nearby players would read it as (Proximity) or (Nearby).

Also, why not add other commands as well like:
Go Left
Go Right
Forward
Help
Take Point
