Create Squad system, how does it all work.
So if you want to use a particular weapon one way to do this is to create your own squad, choose your weapon/class, then select the "Ready" button. Often when i do this i find the game puts me in an empty server.

Can somone explain how this system of create squad and join existing squad all works.

The Create a Squad system is there so you can get a predefined squad before you start up a game, generally with friends that you want to increase the squad level with.

For me, it usually doesn't create an empty game. I guess since you're just one guy in a squad that's supposed to be 4 strong, the game can't find a proper space for you and create a new game.

Yeah i know what you mean. I am still a little confused as to how the game manages squads.

Ummm how do i say this.... i figued i was being put in and empty game, or even a different map to the one i had selected before creating a squad, because the game couldnt find the side (e.g. The Tommies) i had chosen in any battles that were currently playing. So the game put me on a map where this side actually faught?

I will have to read up about the squad lvl system.

So with the squad level thing, how does it save progress? Does it go by the squad name you have chosen?

I think personally Verdun is in need of a Menu walkthrough for new players. First time you load game it should walk you through the steps of joining a game, creating your own squad and how the level system works and how the simple "play on this map" will put you in a random squad on the map you have chosen. When you create a squad before hitting the ready button it should tell you which map you are going to be sent to.

I am still confused after about 10+ hours play, i have had plenty of time to scour through the main menu to try and figure out how it all works. I can see new players thinking wtf.

The Squad Level goes off your Co-op XP with other players, adding up everybody's XP to determine what level your squad is going to be. Squad Type and Name do not matter.

You'll see a green number on the bottom left under the player's level, telling you how many matches you've played, hover over the person's name and it'll tell you how much XP you have with that player.

When creating a Squad and you click "Ready", it looks for a match that isn't full and then adds your squad to a match.

It's kind of random what map you'll get though and I'm not sure if there's anything else it factors in when it finds a match. Though, I've had it where me and my brother created a squad and it put us into an empty match.

In short, take a look at this guide: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=327429794
