If however aim assist is added to PC as well you should be able to choose if you want to play in a game/server that uses aim assist or not. But this would need a much larger active player community and I see no point until Verdun reaches that for the Devs deploy any time and/or resources implementing aim assist in the game.
I would say Verdun is a competitive game, but I'm not going to add more to this discussion because we are getting of topic.
I'm pretty sure Chillydog3D was referring to competitive gaming in general is played with mouse and keyboard. Just look at example how big competitive CS:Go is. But all "elite verdun players" I know use keyboard&mouse in verdun as well.
The way I see it - if you're using a controller on any game, aim assit is a must. Even if you're going up against a crowd of mouse and keyboard users, at least you know that's what you'll be facing.
Well i think you make some great points, in that "variety" the PC owns it. You're absolutely correct that Console Gamers, want to play, only in my opinion, crappy games, that the "masses" seem to want to play, and i think that's sad.
I mean unless you want to shoot Aliens, or Modern and Future Warfare, you're pretty much up a creek, where on PC, i can have all the WW2, Vietnam, and now even WW1 that i want.
The problem is, the perception is, nobody else wants to play them on consoles, and that's why i think they remain relatively unheard of, buried on a PC Platform with a rather small base, as compared to say on Consoles.
However, i think we're seeing a "resurgence" of sorts, of people just being being fed up with the games coming out on Consoles.
At E3, the big news wan't necessarily the "new games". The news was Backward Compatibility for Xbox that ruled the day there. Well why? Well people like playing the older games rather than the new ones that have been Lackluster at best, and when you were looking at the outcry for the new Black Ops to go to a WW2 setting, people are just getting fed up with the current genre's.
And so there is a hunger for a game like this on Consoles like we haven't seen in awhile, and being the player base on Consoles is monstrous, as compared to PC, even in Advertisment, a very good argument can be made, that you can go from a 400 player base worldwide, certainly to at least 10,000 from a conservative standpoint. Right now, you 2,000 players on COD WAW, which is a broken hacked old game. Certainly we can do better than that here.
There's just more players on Consoles, that do not have the "variety" Steam or others provide on PC. You guys have Red Orchestra. You have ARMA WW2 mods, you have WW2 Online, etc etc that Consoles don't have.
So i'm a big fan of this Developer, and i try and cheer them in the right direction, and have E Mailed them, and find them to be very receptive smart people, and they are in fact in the works, of bringing this game to Consoles. Though, they mentioned PS4, which is of no use to me.
