If you do happen to run out of bullets to fling around, you always have tactical movement and mellee attacks. During attacks it tends to be far more useful anyways.
On an off-note: Retreat; and get shot by your own. DON'T do it.
Red Orchestra/ Rising Storm is wayy different from Verdun. In RO the map is considerably huge with multiple angles to shoot down enemies. Of course players need to refill their ammo, unless you want to spend every 5 mins looking for fallen weapons in search for ammo. In Verdun, the map is linear, the line of sight is pretty clear in each map (players in far right, can shoot to far left in most of the maps), most of the weapons is bolt-action with 100+ rounds. Personally for myself, I've never run out ammo when I played as riflemen because the pace is so quick in this game. The only time I need more ammo is when I play MG, but refill ammo is a matter of balancing in this game IMO.
1. Let us pick up weapons from fallen soldiers.
2. Give machine gunners and machine pistol users a knife
3. Place ammo boxes in the friendly trench and let us use them after a retreat, let it take time, or let us refill only 50%. But something has to be done.
It cant be that you award me with a humiliating suicide on barb wire after I took and hold a whole trench alone by myself and played a vital role in an assault. Its ridiculous.
go play Hardline then if you want that feature!
