Verdun
HUD.
So I fired up Verdun yesterday and I noticed the HUD was, well, too big, at least for my 1366x768 res. Now I know many of you hard core gamers out there have super 1337 PCs with 50 inch LCDs but not everybody can get so much money from mommy and daddy so let's cut to the chase. I need a solution to my problem, either a mod or something to make the HUD smaller or at least a few elements, an entire new HUD, and yes I got that from a picture that saw the same day I played Verdun, I mean, the guy had a completely new HUD or to disable/toggle it by binding it to some keys, like in Red Orchestra 2, if you know about that. Thanks in advance for reading and don't take it so personally, I'm just merely joking.

Well you can disable the HUD (called tactical view in Verdun). Go to graphics options and remove the checkmark from "Always show tactical view". Then go to the control options and bind "Tactical" to your preferred key. Now the HUD gets shown while you hold the key (alas, no toggle). If you have a macro-capable mouse or keyboard (or if you are familiar with AHK), you can create a toggle for this key though.

Could you give me a guide or something on doing it? I'm still trying to cope with the Unreal Engine bindings, Sources one, let alone this engine's ones, btw I forgot the engine's name but I know that Rust uses it too for sure.

Press "F8" for Toggle, and engine Name is Unity3d

Well, I'm not sure what you need. If it is enough for you to see the HUD while you keep a key pressed then I have explained it all (and Luke even mentioned the default button). If you need an actual toggle then I would have to know some more.

If you have a Logitech G-Series mouse or keyboard I can give you a little script which does the toggle. If you have another programmable mouse or keyboard you might have the option to create the toggle with its software. But then I can't help you. Otherwise, you would have to use AutoHotkey or similar programmes. In theory I could help you there but that would require too much effort because I would have to do all the work for you. But you could google for AHK toggle scripts. I'd bet you will find something.

Thanks, but I think it would be too much of a hassle to press it in a combat intensive situation.

What I mean was, there is a "passive" HUD display in RO2 that shows your health, moral, clips,etc... and an "active" one that shows up and clogs up the whole screen when you press T, but it is helpful because you can see where you should generally go if you're not that familiar with the maps like I am. I've done so that when I press X the HUD dissapears and when I press T I get both the passive and active HUD availble and when I need them and then just let the button go when I don't need the HUD anymore. I'll provide a link of the topic I used as a guide to make the binds, if I find it, but for now that's a brief explanation of what I want.

Okay, I think I get it. You created keybinds straight in the config file which gives you some more options. What I have not realised is that there are two HUDs in RO2. Within normal keybind configurations if you call up tactical view you get everything (which as far as I understood you is actually two HUDs). [As a sidenote if you can find that link it would be great. I'm interested in this.]

However, in Verdun there is AFAICS only one HUD. Also I asked within a different context about keybind support within a config file and Leo said there is none :(

Here is the link: http://www.reddit.com/r/redorchestra/comments/12deug/a_guide_to_tweaking_red_orchestra_2_heroes_of/ and yeah, I've failed to remember that these are 2 different games on 2 different engines. Oh and btw I didn't do this in the config, as the topic states I did this while in game in the console which I call by pressing `.
