Hackers/cheaters/exploits...
Just bought this game today, played several rounds...I really dig it, but when it comes to FPS games, I am always a bit leary of cheaters. Can anyone expand on this topic? Thank you in advance...

*Folks, please don't respond with the obvious. I get it...I know there are hundreds of new players going up against veterans and I know they're simply better than 'us' noobs. I want to know if people are using cheat programs, aim-bots, etc. Thanks.

They're not hacking.

You'll think this early on.. Lots of people do.

What were you seeing that was suspicious? Just high KDR?

There's TONS of new players. The veterans are having a heyday. Even I look legit and I'm average as hell.

During a sale, you've got people with two hundred hours in the game going up against people with five minutes in the game.

It's like clubbing baby seals.

I just said I was "leary". I haven't seen anything yet that makes me suspiscious and you're right, lots of noobs right now and I certainly fall into that camp, which is fine with me. I've been playing FPS's for over 15 years...I just wanted to see what kind of response I got from this thread. I hate (with a passion) playing great games like this and see them get ruined by cheaters. I would simply get a refund if the majority of responses was: "yes, lots of hackers, exploits and cheaters...". I don't need that sh!t at my age :) Thanks for the reply ma' man.

Agreed...and I love clubbing baby seals. I have also been on the other side of that spectrum, so I get it...just wondering if there are downloadable cheats that people are using...

Agreed...and I love clubbing baby seals. I have also been on the other side of that spectrum, so I get it...just wondering if there are downloadable chates that people are using...

I've went looking to see if anything public or for sale was out there.. All i found was some exploit that didn't work anymore according to the sites forums and that was ages ago.

If it exists it's completely private. I've never seen anything in my time that convinced me of cheating.

Only seen evidence of 2 people hacking, both were banned. There are some hacks but the game does have a security system and they get banned by it for these so it's not often you will see it, I've not personally seen anyone hacking in my time playing the game.

Note there are a few bugs that happen that can cause people to think they are hacking such as invisible and invicibility bugs.

400+ hours, never seen hacking. Though there are some "exploits" such as seeing people through hills/geometry because they don't render if your settings are low enough, and things like deploying an MG through a solid surface.

As another note most hacks would be counter productive in this game. For example aim bots would not work due to the fact you have to pre aim for bullet time. Also in most games aim bot aim for headshots where it will kill them quickly in verdun however most weapons 1 shot kill and the I have lost count how many times I hit people in the leg. Even wall hacks would be a confusing mess due to how they work. Thankfully I am yet to come by a hacker yet.

I agree with the comments above. I have fifty hours in and have never encountered any solid evidence--or even reasonable suspicion--of hacking in my playing of the game.

ESP hacks would be deadly useful.....
