Verdun
Is it worth trying this game out in 2023?
I saw a clip of this game on tik tok and it looks pretty fun, but I'm not sure if full of cheaters or dead.

well this game has always been niche, but verdun might be dead because the devs just recently released a new game

it is fun tho, it can get pretty intense and does require you to use strategy and focus, not really like cod where it's just brain dead rinse and repeat same game play and all reflexes

You can still play if you are ok using EU server. Verdun generally has a full server everyday, especially around after work times 6/7pm and at weekends.

There isn't any game like Verdun if you want to experience the trench warfare on an FPS. Don't listen to all the negativity on the forums. I play either Verdun or Tannenberg almost each day there are always players.

The game is good even if you play with bots. Verdun's combat is even better than Isonzo. More game mode and factions to choose. Isonzo is focusing on building things.

Game is amazing. Still playing In fact just reached level 100. Let me know if you or anyone else wants to play.

It is fun but Tanneberg is the better game. I only played Izonso a few hours and then stopped when I realised they had gone back to Vedun style game play.

There are not a huge number of players for any of the games but in the EU you normally find at least on fullish server, often more.

Why do you think Tannenberg is better?

I find it less repetitive, you don't have the tedious, attack, retreat, attack, retreat, get shot for desertion when you haven't deserted. I like the fact that you can get more ammo and that teams can attack different sections and flank the enemy.

There are things I prefer in Verdun, the scopes (although in tannenberg I nearly always use the single shot rifles which are basically TBs scopes), I like that you can reposition the MGs, and maps like Fort Douaumont, Champagne, and Flanders.

Overall I prefer the gam play of TB over VD but still play Verdun. I tried Izonso and was put off by the gameplay which (according to a dev) is like Verdun but with elements of TB.
