Verdun PS4 needs a free PS Plus release
Verdun PS4 is a a great game, but from launch a year and a half ago? It's gone from a fairly populated game to nearly dead in the present. There's a huge community and interest on PS4 for a game like Verdun but it's no longer advertised and has sortve been forgotten about.. Devs do you have any thought on making it a free release for one month for ps plus users? It would completely revive the game. I know you guys need to make money, but the game is nearly dead. (on a side note) I noticed that the game has gotten lots of updates on pc but very few on console. Any plan to release some on console in the near future?

If you knew the history of what happened with "updates" with this game on PC, you probably would want to opt away from any further updates on Consoles.

I mean i have it on Xbox, but play it on my brother in laws PS4 as well once in awhile, and you're right, the original playercounts even beat my expectations, but, like on PC, te counts plundered. But i think the original gamme breaking bugs, since fixed had to do with that.

Anyhow, i think the game works okay enough, but as you said, it needs advertising, but even here on PC it needs the same. It's a very small developer.

Anyhow, start looking at Xbox X, being there are rumors not being negated, that Microsoft may buy over Steam (even EA), and we'll get everything Steam has to offer at that point. I mean their whole library is controller compatible. Then we can even get their new Tannenberg and the new Hell let Loose game lol.

I wouldn’t keep your hopes up about the devs doing much more advertising for Verdun. The game is old and still plentifully bugged. It’s over, it’s had its run and it’s over.

Now about Steam, if they were to be bought up, it doesn’t mean you would get all of those games on console since Steam doesn’t really own any of the games on it. It’s just a site from which you can buy the games from. So if it does get bought, don’t keep your hopes up for seeing a TON more games in your store

Microsoft will demand all games in the future coming out on Steam, will have to be compatible to their console, that surely can handle them. And their most all controller compatible now .

But thank you for your input, and good to see you again..

I don’t know about that. It takes a lot of work to down grade games to be able to be acceptable to be playable on console, just remember back to when the devs were trying to get their game ported. They had one problem after the other and it took a very long while until it was finally accepted. I don’t see most of the Indy game creators who make games on steam go out of their way to devote time to porting their games instead of investing more time, love and effort into them.

I guess it’s good to see you to?

Well, they would have to be upgraded, not downgraded, given the makeup of that machine as compared to most PC's folks are playing on, and even have to make it thru the process for which we speak.

So, it does take more money to upgrade, and go thru the rigorous process Microsoft sets forth, and yes it did happen to this game. I can honestly see how the little guy, and smaller indie devs may be very concerned when the big guy swallows them up.

But that's how business works, and it would be a whole new ballgame, being Microsoft would own Steam, and the policy would change.

But idk if it's even a question of all that, where as , like when i had an Alienware Steam Machine system (how i started on this game), with lower specs than Xbox X, all it did, was give me access to a Win 10 Desktop, like you have on your PC, and just go to Steam and play.

So that same way of accessing Steam, would be the same way you would there. Idk if Developers would really have to do anything.

A console IS a PC, and i think, what happened in the past is that the consoles did not have the makeup to play more demanding games. But, now they do.

So, probably a good question to ask Leo, or Tijmen or the techies in what they may think, being they're much more knowledgeable than i on the subject.

I would disagree on “upgrading” from PC to console. No matter how you want to put it PCs will always be better then consoles (though depending on how much you want to spend on a good PC you can get many that are equal but those are ones not meant to really play games and so I’m not going to include them for those reasons. Instead I’m only talking about PCs meant for gaming). Now I really don’t want to debate this since I’ve got better things to do but I just had to point this huge fact out.

I extremely doubt that Microsoft will force any game creators to make there games accessible for console gamers. I believe they will keep it as how Steam does is now.

Yeah PCs are in no way shape or form the same as consoles. They can do WAY more than a console can and that’s a fact. Now again, I don’t really want to argue about PC vs Console because it’s pretty self explanatory that PCs are better and this conversation will just get side tracked and bogged down in a pointless debate.
