Is there no chance that we could revert back to the “mount on any surface” system that existed previously?
Fair enough, I understand. On another note, will bots ever be able to mount MGs. I understand if they can’t, but it would be nice to know if this is something being worked on.
I think it's time then for Verdun 2 rather than a new front. If the game is beyond repair, take all your experience and skill increases over the last few years to build a better game from the ground up.

I agree with this. The western front is by far the most marketable part of this series, so a sequel or a rehaul might bring more money into the franchise in the long run.
Or develop a single game after all individual theatres are released to combine all into one.
