Name change

Is there any way to change my name? I made it a couple years ago and I finally came back to Verdun so I wanna change my name to something else. I have tried clicking on my player name but nothing happens

With the release of the new overhauled UI, the only uses your Steam Name. But you can add a custom "clan tag".

with the changes made to the weapon selection, the extra steps to join private matches, the removal of the timer for attack/defense phases, the ''we got a foothold'' always here so you can see it, the minimap, the markers on top of your allies (ok, you can change that in the options) and putting blue and red everywhere in the HUD.

Did you even look over the Tutorial to get situated with the new Match Info at the top of the screen frankly?

The Attack/Defend Phase times are still there, and so is when a Foothold is in effect. They are all displayed to the right of the Momentum Gauge in the center.

P.S. I did suggest giving the Foothold a red/blue color background. (i.e. Red as a Defender; Blue as an Attacker)

my bad for the foothold thing, forgot it.
i stand by the rest of what i said though, the squad menus, the private matches... one thing i forgot and X pointed out is that this UI can be distracting at times, theres a lot of bright colors and in the dark its not great

I am not blaming anyone, I am expressing opinion. And as I stated before, name abusing is just a tiny segment of the internet reality, and depriving people from changing name, tag or whatever in a game, because some pubers are expressing rage, are showing their immaturity, or have other issues, sounds strange to me. And, it is not only 12-years-old who play Verdun or Tannenberg.
I understand, people tend to be more softhearted nowadays, therefore we have this change. Anyway, it is what it is.

you cant prevent people from getting dumb name. first day of the new UI, people had already found tricks to put whatever they want in their clan tag, even if its way longer than it should.

when you guys started censoring squad names, it didnt stop squads with joke names, people just found ways to say the same thing while not being detected by the game.
