What about this: Verdun can pull the name from Steam, but you can choose to "lock" your name in Verdun, and Verdun won't request your name from Steam again until you unlock it?
That way you can still use Steam's name censor, and people can still have a name that's different from their Steam username.
Firstly, the game isn't trying to dox anyone. Sounds like you didn't allow access to game and Epic.
.
When you launch the game via the Epic Launcher, there should be a browser window/tab popping up from Epic asking to allow access to Verdun.
If you do not see any pop-up, try any of these options: 1) You don't have a default browser setup; 2) need to try a different browser; 3) try launching the game directly via the .exe/app in your local files while the Epic Launcher is running
