Plus as Savage says it would end up getting heavily nerfed if it did have hipfire.

It indeed looks awkward.
Let's say IF we should consider the MG08/15 to be hipfired, what would be the changes to the weapon, the functions around the weapon, and to the opposing side's machineguns?
I know devs will NEVER make it hipfired, it's dumb and arcadey, but let's just play around a litte.
Making an MG that already has good accuracy, good rate of fire and the highest magazine/belt size of any MG in the game 2HK would screw with balance, really? It would improve balance.
Giving the MG08 hipfire would be just as bad of an idea as making the shotgun able to be slamfired, like some people have requested.
Just because it could theoretically be done doesn't mean that you should be able to do it in the game, especially given how rare/desperate/impractical/risky this would have been in RL.
I just wish they would fix mounting, or give us HMG that are moveable ONLY along the trench line, so they dont just get bombed the moment someone gets on them. Not sure how it would work but id love to hear how it cant work.
Another issue hipfiring these is they have no forward grip and the barrel is more exposed means you will burn your hand very quickly compared to the water cooled jacket. The lower weight might also mean more recoil.
