1. how many play verdun? in addition to those shown playing PC on steamcharts, normally several hundred or more are playing xbox1 verdun at any given time, so there are verduners.
2. numbers vary week to week, month to month. some members do like to check out whatever game happens to be "hot" at the moment, but few who have spilled much blood here leave verdun for good. those with purple hearts might have weeks of inactivity from the trenches, but many return.
3. as like all games, verdun will see more frequent "returns from leave" by those who have played and stuck with the game for awhile. like all games, some play verdun for less than 20 career hours and never return. like all games, some play verdun more than 100 career hours and they frequently find their way back to the trenches after going AWOL for awhile.
4. for best numbers finding matches, be willing to try other servers if your preference is not currently busy. for some hours of 24, the AU server might be the best game in town. for many hours, the EU server is most busy. later in the 24 hour day, the best numbers are usually found on the US server. i grant that some are concerned with ping and changing to a less preferred server might not be for everyone, but many of the "verduners" are willing to change servers to find fuller matches.
