Having strange issue with bluetooth XINPUT controller - sticky scrolling left/right

I'm getting a strange behaviour when scrolling left/right. Sometimes the scrolling remains locked, after releasing the scrolling buttons (joystick or directional pad). It's a sticky behaviour. To stop it I need to press the opposite direction.
Does anyone have experienced this problem?

Note: I'm using the 8BitDo SN30 Pro controller.

Solved:
- The problem only occurs when connecting over Bluetooth. Over USB it works fine.
- I updated the firmware from 2.04 to 2.05 to try to solve the Bluetooth issue but it did nothing. Still getting the same issue.
- Paired the controller as DirectInput instead of Xinput. The controller was detected by Steam but needed to assign the buttons in the config menu. Once the buttons have been assigned I tested the game and didn't get the issue.
- Paired the controller again as Xinput. Problem was gone.
