Does the game auto save?

When I hit the escape button the game just exits. If I were to exit the game half way through a playthrough, would I have to start all over when I open up the game next time? Or is there a menu I can go to, so I can save?

You can only start over from the beginning of a level which is unlocked. If you exit in the middle of a level you will have to restart it from the beginning.

ohh okay thanks, that helps alot. I was really confused as to how to save my progress but that clears things up.

I was here to find the same answer. Really not that well explained. However, it kinda fits with the theme of slightly obtuse puzzles.

Cloud saving would be nice too....I forget how much I take it for granted until I go to play on another computer and it makes me start from the beginning...
