How to Craft a Spear?

Has anybody figured out how to craft the spear?

Ended up making a Molotov if anybody is interested in that!

haven't figured out how to craft one yet but came upon one near a pond tho

maybe cut some skinny sticks rather then big lumber, see what you can do with that. go into inventory then see if you can do something with the skinny sticks, gonna have to try it myself later.

Near Every pond I have found there has been at least one, though I must say they are ineffective for fishing and fighting

All I was able to make was a stick through a rock which serves as a hatchet.

Follow the coastline and you should find a spear beside a tent near a large anchor.

You can make a better one out of bone but haven't found all the thing for it yet so far I know you need three bones cloth or rope and something else...maybe you can figure it I can't T_T

You can't craft a spear, you have to find one.

Thread necromancy is bad. Thread necromancy for a thread that is over a year old for an alpha stage game is really bad. Weak spears can be found at ponds. They can be upgraded with three bones and two pieces of cloth.

^This is incorrect.

Starting a new thread on an existing topic is bad. Adding to an existing thread is always preferable.

This is interesting. Anyways, you find weak spears next to small ponds and you can take that an upgrade it with x3 bones and x2 cloth into a really nice upgraded spear.

It would be really nice (and more realistic) to be able to just sharpen a stick for spear fishing instead of finding them in the world. The sharp stick could then be updgraded to the strong spear with the bones and cloth and maybe a sharp rock.

You could make them in the early days of the forest with a stick and booze, it was pretty wierd.

Yeah, I have to say: a spear is the EASIEST weapon to make in a survival situation. Sharpen a stick. You're done. The EASIEST. So why on Earth is it not craftable?

Considering there is a spear on almost every one of the numerous ponds there isn't a need to craft one. You should be able to find one within ONE MINUTE of walking from any of the potential crash sites.

Not to mention it would be difficult to make a fine/sharp point on a stick using a Plane Axe irl. A knife would be better suited for such a task and guess what? We have no knife.
