Anyone know of any of the current traps that work on deer? was hoping the noose trap would but no luck yet

Nope they ignore everything player made, literally. The deer respawn at certain locations, you turn around and POOF a deer standing right there, that's the best way to kill them. Find that spot.

To kill a deer the best is to use the fire arrows

Actually, there is a better way:

Find a small water hole and build a stone wall around it (leave 1 space opening). For reasons i can't explain, deer love to go in. I kill about 3-7 deer (per day) with this VERY simple technique.

It helps to have the Samurai sword or a bow.

Once you get them confused (at a wall) then you can slice them into deer meet.

You can just throw weak spears or upgraded spears If i recall correctly then both 1 hit kill deers.

I wouldn't call that an exploit, sounds like a smart lure trap to me.

Also the rabbit trap does catch deer so to speak, but if you walk to close then they would just run off like they were never trapped

The happy birthday trap has killed deer for me , although my favourite method is to kill them with a spear, instant death and quite easy.
