Played 5+ hours in the Arc Raiders Playtest – here's my honest take:

First off, the game runs really smooth. I’m on PC and had zero performance issues aside from one crash early on. Outside of that, it was rock solid. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous—detailed environments, nice lighting, and surprisingly well optimized. I was running it on high settings without any stutter or frame drops.

Gameplay-wise, it felt really balanced. The PvPvE setup had a great rhythm. I didn’t constantly run into players every 10 seconds, which made exploration and engagements feel more meaningful instead of chaotic. When PvP did happen, it felt fair and earned.

There were a few minor bugs here and there, but nothing game-breaking—mostly small annoyances that I’m sure will be smoothed out before release.

Honestly, I had a great time. The world feels alive, the pacing is solid, and it seems like the devs really focused on making the experience tight and fun, even at this early stage. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

This game looks and sounds great and that's about all there is to it. Everything else is incredibly mid while doing nothing new in the genre. 3rd person cam is also a big negative as it promotes even more camping in a genre that doesn't need more reasons to do so.
