So what's the point?

There are mods that already did all this years ago? What is this new edition about?

I would hope for gameplay changes or something substantial, this seems like basic QoL changes, or tweaks... There are mods that made stalker into different game!

The point of these light facelifts is always selling the game on a new console platform. Sometimes a PC version gets released too, as the code is already written, why not.

You can be 100% sure they didn't spend all the time and manpower on this just so they can give it for free. They want to make money, they're just not being a Richard about it.

I've never played the originals and only played Anomaly and daddy Gamma. Yes, i'm that guy. So not having to mod anything feels good tbh i'm just lazy I guess.

The controller support alone is more worth than any mod.

It's a Mod lover.

They figure "Whats the point" since they already played the game with a bunch of Mods that enhanced their game visually (or their entire game) before this version ever came out.

For the people who don't bother with Mods, Console Players, and especially people who never used a Mod for this game.

Just because you feel like it's pointless, it doesn't mean that it is. If you enjoy playing the game with Mods, enjoy the OG version.

No one is forcing you to play this "Enhanced" version and they certainly didn't ask for a dime from you for it.

Edit: To add this since I didn't know (I forgot the OG versions don't come with Achievements and such)

Doesn't the OG version of this game come with Cloud Saves? since I recently installed it (after seeing the Enhanced versions were coming) and I was able to continue from a save I made years ago.

that's shame, because stalker has best mods, there are mod managers, but vanila game is also insanely good!

Im gonna try it anyway. Always wanted to play them. But the originals were always crashing. Hope this release works better.
