Basically, what I'd like to see are what drops the pros prioritize picking up over others
Well, too bad, 'cuz that's what the "pros" prioritize. Good players can loop with a revolver alone, so it's honestly more a question of personal preference.
I tend to steer towards energy weapons for the insane damage potential, or bolt weapons for the quick crowd-killing and homing capabilities.
Top tier(needed for high loops):
Ultra Shovel, SPC
High tier(will work in early loops)
Triple Machine Gun, Quadruple Machine Gun, Plasma Cannon, Shovel, Energy Sword, Energy Hammer, Lightning Hammer Super Flak Cannon, Super Slugger, Hyper Slugger, Super Bazooka, Gatling Slugger, Hyper Launcher, Super Crossbow, Auto Crossbow, Heavy Auto Crossbow
Decent tier(will help get you to loop but hopefully you find better before that)
Jackhammer, Assault Rifle, Hyper Rifle, Splinter Gun, Super Splinter Gun, Heavy Revolver, Heavy Assault Rifle, Double Flame Shotgun, Auto Flame Shotgun, Auto Shotgun, Assault Slugger, Energy Screwdriver
I don't really have much experience with actually using the Ultra weapons, but most of them seem to be decent enough for early loops so are worth considering. Guitar and Black Sword probably would go well in that high tier list.
