Why do developers destroy their games with cheap catch-up cheats?

In franchise mode, first game I played instead of simmed.
Led 34-0 in 3rd Q.
Proceeded to give up 7 first downs by penalty.
Opponent converted two 3rd and 25+ yards.
TWICE screen displayed TOUCHDOWN when opposing RB was outside 5 yard line despite multiple defenders in the way. RB proceeded to break tackles AFTER message until he scored.

Applying for refund. Not worth the bother.

Sounds like the animations and game events simply couldn't catch up with the code responsible for displaying the touchdown message. Having played enough games, I can say that I've never experienced any rubber-banding mechanics unlike with Madden.

Axis is not perfect by any means, but it doesn't cost as much as Madden either, so there is a certain compromise. At the end of the day, it's your decision and your loss or win, whichever way you look at it.

The OP is 100% correct. The AI in this game is horrible. I have purchased this game repeatedly because it has such promise. Unfortunately the developer is obviously someone that has never played the game of football and has never been a student of the game. This gameplay does not resemble the game of football in ANY WAY at all. I after numerous attempts to support the game am done and will not buy it again. This gameplay AI has NEVER improved, what the developer improves are his graphics, his options, and frankly anything that is NOT gameplay related.
