Im hoping Neva will surprise me as GRIS did, if you didnt like the previous game thats not a problem, i dont like a lot of games, strategy, sport, not for me, no shame in that.
Pretentious because i liked the game and he didnt? OR because i lecture him that not every game he didnt enjoy is bad? Abnoxious is subjective though, i rather find your response toxic as hell.
Replay it when you are older or experienced the death of loved ones, it will make much more sense.
The game mechanics are basically individual coping mechanisms on how to deal with the situation. (that is my interpretation, i may be wrong tho).
GRIS is not a funny game, it is not made for (fun) entertainment, however you may still enjoy the story and the gameplay.
BTW, sooner or later you will experience loss aswell, dont be afraid to ask for help from others and talk it out.
I agree with your original comment, and really liked Gris. Regardless, the comment was pretentious, and I think your reply here is not in good faith. I imagine you can see why they thought it was pretentious, and you specifically avoided it in your reply. The two options you give in your reply are clearly not why your comment is pretentious.
"GRIS is a masterpiece, but only to those that have the sensibility to see this" is the pretentious part. Just because you believe it, and others like myself agree doesn't make it not pretentious. It's a high and mighty stance that presumes that if you don't like it, then you must be failing in some way.
Instead of clarifying, defending, or accepting the pretentiousness, you took the stance of pretending to not understand what they were referring to. That is an example of arguing in bad faith, it is unnecessary and toxic.
We could just as easily flip that around and say that not every game you enjoy is good.
It's all opinions at the end of the day. You're acting as if your word is law.
I'll assume you're not trolling and I'll be honest, Neva has a lot of common points with Gris. So if you honestly disliked Gris there is few chances you'll like Neva.
