What?!? Awww man. (My haircut ain't yee-yee!)
I'm more of an Astronomia FUBUKIDANCE enjoyer, but that Scatman remix is still lit. As for Matsuri's absurd stories, that tale of her wearing band-aids instead of a bra really sticks to this day.
Lost Pause (a.k.a.: Noble, Maibigbutt)? Long before VTubing became big, it was thanks to him that I found anitubers in the first place, including The Anime Man. (Shame they had that falling out...something that both sides won't talk about to this day.) Still watch Noble from time to time, mostly for the "off-brand" memes.
Yeah, I get that some live streams can be too long for those who don't have the time to watch, or have shorter attention spans. (YAGOO/Matsuri help you if you're watching Korone or Kaela.) But thank goodness for karaoke streams and Vesper's talk streams. I can leave them running in the background while doing something else/playing a videogame.
As for fan-animators...2ManySnacks (interesting colored chalk animation style), Komainu (love the cute wide faces, also did an animated music video for Pekora), Mochimiko (love the plush cheeks), Tripl3 (hilarious facial expressions, including a spoof of Komi-san), Momonofu (animated Nendoroid look, also hilarious expressions), KAI (love that guy's parody of the JP Fanta ads), Reiruka (animation of Suisei singing "Senkou" by Alexandros, also cute)... Just some that I liked and bookmarked.
Thought to myself the singer had chops, googled Calliope Mori and felt the earth crumble beneath me.
This one?

Say wha...?!?
I was looking for the actual soundbite on YT after watching someone stream a Banjo Rando. I found Korone. Prior to that point I had been aware of VTubing in passing and not really reconciled it. Now I'm trying to convince YT to send me subbed clips for FBK, Botan, and to a lesser extent Towa. I found channels for GAMERS, and follow Gura and Ame as best I can. The music's even good.
A lot of you probably know when Ollie got ask to do "ara ara"
and at first she was saying it "normally" before doing it again
really "ara ara like"... Well there is a meme in Friday night funkin'
that was using her voice.
The ara ara itself doesn't really made me react that much, but I liked
the energy, so I checked the source. I knew about Vtuber but that
was at the beginning of it... when models were a lot more robot like.
Anyways. I didn't checked that much right away, but
youtube started to recommend me a lot of compilation...
And I did watch. A lot of them.
I didn't really watch their livestream, or even VOD that often, but I like it
time to time. And I try to check every cover/original songs.
So many bangers.
The only people I frequently watch VOD are the Tempus boys,
from Holostar english. Specially Vesper. I like hololive, but I prefer
the ambiance of Tempus.
Ps: Sorry for my poor english.
ASMRTubers immediately remind me of that "What Zero Mental Health Support Does To A MF" meme (a.k.a.: Saplings in a nutshell). ;)
Been listening to some of Fauna's ASMRs, though my limit is usually around an hour (and I don't really listen to them in bed--not a fan of smartphones). Not so much the HoloJP ASMRTuber side (especially Choco-sen with her temptingly yabai voice and equally yabai thumbnails from FuMiHiKo) as my JP is less than basic and the VOD becomes members-only after going live. (Dunno if the same can be said for Mel and Roboco's ASMR videos. God, their voices are just relaxing to listen to, even on regular streams.)
Still appreciate the roleplay elements from ASMRTubers though, whether within Hololive or indie/other agencies.
Ah, a gaming VTuber enjoyer. Korone loves her retro games, though she does play some new stuff like Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. Also enjoyed FBK's playthrough of Ace Combat 7 (though I had to go with the abridged and subbed version from VTuberBits). Plenty of FPS gamers within Hololive, though Botan's the FPS queen at this point. (Do consider Minato Aqua as well.) Haven't watched much Gura and Ame, though I know their interactions can be hilarious at times.
Ollie the Energizer Zombie...and the Hololive Queen of Simps. BTW, have you seen Ollie's stream as Sallie (a.k.a.: Alternate universe Ollie who's a voluptuous "Ara-ara Onee-san")? If you haven't, WATCH IT. Wonder how Ollie's reacting to the HoloCure 0.6 trailer?
Anyway, I know I started this off with "falling into the Hololive rabbithole", but if anyone wants to talk about Holostars, that's fine too. Vesper's talk streams are always a hoot to listen to with all his stories, and I'm interested in checking out Altare's Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough. (Ditto Axel's stream of TroubleDays?) And it was awesome to see Roberu being greeted "Happy Birthday" by his seiyuu oshis...especially Reina Ueda. His collabs with VTuber Kagura Mea are also hilarious.
Finally, your English is understandable, so it's OK.

I kept watching Haato for the chill Vibes but it was sporadic. When I really got stuck in was when Coco did this and basically cemented herself as Hololive EN Gen 0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMlnoW5LxIo
THEN my workload became bigger as people start to commissioned me to do more Vtuber arts (both NSFW and SFW).
Now day i became a Vartist too, work for 2 Vtubers from Twich as their main artist designer.
Fast forward 2 years my YouTube recommended is filled with Hololive clips (translated English clips mostly, but some HoloEN) and I then go on to mainly watching clips of Suisei. About a day or two later I listen to Suisei's music, which now has made me tearing up every night I listen to Stellar Stellar. Amazing talent. Also tried tuning into Aqua's Minecraft One Block stream featuring StartEnd but ended up falling asleep like 15 minutes after it started. Don't speak Japanese but I'll watch any livestream that features Suisei.
AH↓ HA↑ HA↓ HA↑ HA↓! Also, I can already hear "Tanukichi's Adventure" (her Minecraft BGM).
I don't really put much stock on the "Idol" label considering the...stigma (for lack of a better word) attached to it (that whole "requirement" to stay impossibly pure/seiso), and because the Hololive talents do have some...un-seiso moments on-stream (especially back when Kiryu Coco was around). And we love them for those moments because it makes them easier to relate to (yeah, I know it may be part of their performative art, but still). Also, I enjoy the whole "Idols vs Comedians" running gag.
I can't even begin to imagine the tech-side work that makes those 3D Live concerts possible (the reason why Cover built that new studio), making sure that the VTuber's mocap movements look perfect on-stage.
And I always keep in mind that behind the VTuber persona is a human being with their own private life away from the avatar. That and watching the first episode of Oshi no Ko is what stops me from going full-blown halu.
I also remember FBK being over the moon being greeted on her birthday by her seiyuu oshi, Yuuichi Nakamura. And she even became a guest on Nakamura and Mafia Kajita's YouTube show. Also, Marine has a few seiyuus who are a fan of her... Marina Inoue, Misato F**uen (EDIT: Censoring her name, Steam? Really?!)... Finally, Aqua and Miko are fans of Ayane Sakura. ("Ayaneru! Ayaneru! Ayaneru!")
"♪ Beat up a pineapple, up a pineapple... Beat up a pineapple, up a pineapple... ♪"
I mainly remember Haachama for her...cooking streams. Yeah. (Also hilarious how she's the one cooking in the HoloCure 0.6 trailer. Makes me want to see Mel cook once the update hits, though I'd rather go first with Choco-sen and/or AZKi.)
"Good Morning, Motherf**kers!" (♪ Uwawawawawawa... Uwawawawawa... ♪) Though nowadays, I can't help but sing the chorus of "Baka Mitai" whenever I reminisce about Coco.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCxy9WcgnqU
Holy s**t! An actual artist/illustrator?! (Thank you for your service. 07) If you don't mind me asking, is there any Holomem whom you haven't done (NSFW) fanart of yet?
I did eventually watch Coco's Reddit Meme/S**tpost Reviews as it went live on her channel every Sunday after her return from suspension (more so during her last days with Hololive), but for a time watched InAccurateSubs (who subbed whole episodes and added extra meme-y edits) to get the full context. Ah, those were the days, where I had fun and metaphorically flipped off Winnie the Pooh's regime (and online sycophants) at the same time.
So the algorithm turned ya into a Hoshiyomi. NGL, I've been hype-averse to Suisei for the longest time because of this strange fear of falling for her once I listen to any of her original music, but there's no denying how talented she is as a VSinger even in singing collabs. (Also, her "Hi, honey!" makes me scaroused.)
Plus I do enjoy playing as her in HoloCure while listening to a 30-minute+ extended version of Ace Combat 7's "Alicorn" and/or "Hero of Comberth Harbor (Game Version)" and making Suisei even scarier than she already is. And yes, I do make it a point to get the Cutting/Flattening Board whenever I play as he-

I have many dum nostalgic stories to tell of those times. Could literally bore you all silly for hours about it.
