Bug Blocker - Sage's Buried Secret - Can't jump to "reach the door mechanism"

I've encountered the strangest bug and now I cannot proceed with the story or do anything.

It's on the mission Sage's Buried Secret where you are following James Kidd and have to cross the small chasm to "reach the door mechanism". I've looked at multiple video walkthroughs and I'm doing exactly what they've done but I do not get a second action to jump to the next branch on the left. I can get to the first branch after part of the wall collapses but then nothing.

I would really like to finish this game but if I can't get around this, I won't be able to progress.

Any ideas???

I have also seen similar issues reported for one of our Prince of Persia games when a button prompt would not appear. Can you please try lowering your FPS in-game or switching on Vsync and changing a few settings in the games options, as this helped with that issue in particular?

I tried verification and all files were fine. Nevertheless, I still retried and same issue. I noticed when I hang from the branch and then climb up, the jump hint on top right shows up for like 250ms and then disappears. I also tried restarting memory but same issue.

I also tried tinkering with different graphics stuff as well but also no joy there.

How are you getting on?

Are you running the game at anything higher than 60fps / 60hz? As higher than usual frame / refresh rates have been known to cause some older titles to behave oddly.

I tried again last night with multiple configurations as you specified and no luck. :(
If you don't have any other ideas, I think I'm going to give up and just focus on Odyssey. Which is both good and bad lol.

then activate Super Jump to get across
