Damaged save game
Hey !
Just started the game yesterday after playing all week during my free time to see "Damaged Save Game".
I saw a lot of website on the web giving save game with different progression, and after all of them missed to work, i saw that AC4 saves are encrypted by your UPlay account so that you can only play YOUR save.

So I'm screwed ? Or is there a way to continue the game without playing from the beginning, fearing that your saves can be damaged for no reason at any point ?

Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!

So, the reason this has happened is because you recently had a duplicate of the game added to your account - you've had this game for years, right?

Without getting specific (as we're on a public forum), it looks like a more recent version of the game was recently added to your account.

Because of this, the most recent version is conflicting with your save as it was created on the older "version" of the game. I hope this makes sense!

We can get this resolved for you, but you'll need to {LINK REMOVED} as we'll need to go through some verification with you first. Feel free to let us know when you have done so, and we'd be happy to help.

What is strange is that I also created a new save with my new install.

I created a ticket (same usename, I guess you can find it), so i'm free to answer here for any question !
