CD Key is invalid

I bought Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Standard Edition a couple of hours ago, along with the Season Pass for the game and the code for Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag are not working. Every time I enter in the code by either copying and pasting the code in or manually inputting it into the Activate a Key dialog box it responds with "This CD Key or Activation Code is not valid. Please try again." As far as I know, the game's code should be instantly redeemable, as I have bought a few Ubisoft games before and this was the case. I do not know if there is a fix for this, but I would like to think there is, as I would like to play Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag due to my recent interest in it.

my key worked when I got home today, so I'm figuring it's just taking time for Ubisoft to register the correct codes

Hello. I bought assassin creed black flag 4 and the unlock codes don't work. I bought the game last year and everything went well, I installed it on the new computer, created a new ubesroft acont image or entered the code, it didn't work, I don't know what the wires are. Should I try to get into the old account?
