Thank you for keeping this thread updated and showing these steps are still relevant and work for this install issue, which I'm sorry to see you've encountered!
We'll be keeping an eye on the and further reports and of course if there is anything further we can help with at all, please let us know!

Thanks for confirming the fix helped you Dreaguh!

First I copied the version text file (found in Program Files (x86) Ubisoft etc.) for the latest version, then after installing an older version from here... https://uplay.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions ...I pasted the new version text file over the old one. This stops it updating. Hopefully it will be fixed in another version which will auto-update someday when you load Connect.
Thanks for sharing this neo_retro, sorry to hear you had to use an older version of Ubisoft Connect, as far as we're aware the current version should work as normal.
We'll note this to the team though and if there's anything else we can help with, please let us know!

Thanks for the reply. I'm using Windows 7 if that makes a difference? Maybe it will work for me when a new version comes out. Tried everything, verified game files etc. Very odd?
Windows 7 isn't officially supported any more by Windows, so this might explain why Ubisoft Connect isn't working for you. You can find more information on this in this {链接已删除} article on our website .

Thanks for the info, thought that may be the case. Guess I'll have to stick to the older version for now :)
That should do the trick.
Do let us know if you have any other questions neo_retro!

As expected a new update downloaded and the same error, so for Windows 7 it looks like I will have to stick with the older version.
Hey neo_retro,
We do advise Windows 7 users to use an older version of Ubisoft Connect going forward, as future releases will not support the OS, with no plans on reverting this decision.
We raised feedback in regards to a legacy launcher, however we have no further information on this at this time.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
