FIX: FOR UPLAY NOT WORKING / The procedure entry point ‘name’ could not be located in the dynamic link library
Listen up gents, I've been trying to get my game to work for about 300 years now and after Multiple installs of the game and a massive waste of my time and internet I've found how to fix most of the issues. if not all without re-downloading the whole game and its easy.


1. go through your computer and purge ubisoft AKA Uplay from your computer.
this is an important detail as when i used the uninstaller it wasn't removing all the files for uplay. you have to manually find the folder and delete all of it then restart your computer.

"YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY DELETE UPLAY"

2. download the most recent version of uplay because god knows why they have given us all a seriously outdated version. it doesn't even look similar

3. run uplay separately and make sure its fully updated to the most recent version (which it does automagically)

4. run the game it should work like fine if you have problems message me.

Same here. But the link for download uplay pc- https://uplay.ubi.com/ - doesn´t work. :/
Its totally broken.

Edit: Uplay => "There is a problem connecting to a Uplay Service. We´ll restore the connection as soon as we can"

In 2022 here, just installed this game, and had this issue the fix worked!! Thanks for taking the time out to write this.

None of this worked for me with the latest version of Ubisoft Connect (10753). I had to go back to the previous version (10715) to fix it...

First I copied the version text file (found in Program Files (x86) Ubisoft etc.) for the latest version, then after installing an older version from here... https://uplay.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions ...I pasted the new version text file over the old one. This stops it updating. Hopefully it will be fixed in another version which will auto-update someday when you load Connect.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using Windows 7 if that makes a difference? Maybe it will work for me when a new version comes out. Tried everything, verified game files etc. Very odd?

Hey neo_retro,

We do advise Windows 7 users to use an older version of Ubisoft Connect going forward, as future releases will not support the OS, with no plans on reverting this decision.

We raised feedback in regards to a legacy launcher, however we have no further information on this at this time.
