D3Doverrider is for Direct X games.
D3DOverrider is a 3rd-party application which hasn't been updated in something like two years and is only "necessary" in specific situations like this one.
Now the reason I'm here, I don't like having third-party programs downloaded for things like this because they usually just cause new problems in the future (leftover files, registries, etc.). Most of the games I play lately are DX (mostly DX11) games. What would triple buffering with D3DOverrider do for me? Did it really fix the OP's problem, or is it just because he finally found another vsync-enabling setting that does the same thing as CP?
I know all that, especially the bad port part lol what I'm asking is: Why is NO ONE using NVIDIA/AMD's control panel to enable vsync? Nvidia's vsync did the same thing for me that D3DO is doing for you, unless triple buffering really does fix input lag (I notice about up to 0.25-0.5 seconds of lag here without D3DO). Everyone could've just used their GPU control panel instead of downloading this third-party program, right? Or am I missing something?
I repeat I never had this 30FPS problem because I enable Vsync for all games in nvidia's control panel and disable vsync in-game (because it's already enabled in gpu). So, what's all this talk about D3DOverrider? Would enabling triple buffering for my DX games really improve something?
I get constant 60fps, most of the time. I know very well what it looks like, Fraps does too. I'm guessing, now, running in SLI mode forces vsync if you have it enabled in control panel. Back to the main question, anybody think D3DOverrider will improve anything else, like input lag?
My frame rates were suttering randomly, triple buffering fixed that. While I will go down to 40 at times it will remain at 40 - it won't go down to 35 then back to 40 which creates lag.
Thank you! I was hoping it would fix the lag during fps drops. I'll give this D3DOverrider a go.
Yeah its great. What annoys me is that its required to play the game to obtain some kind of even ness with fps.
FYI know some of you might have missed this but to unlock your fps even while on V-Sync while in the game press I think your windows botton to lock your computer. Unlock it and it will help your fps.
Wierd fix but I made a jump from 40 to 45 in areas.
This really just goes to show how poorly optomized this game is.
dont know if it really helps to squeeze some FPS out... didnt try it as yet since UBI Server seems to be down atm :/
ive got Triple buffer off in NVIDIA global settings
ingame: i put SSAO or HBAO off; Anti-AliasQuatity off
...FPS trouble has gone.
