On the second screenshot you are doing it right.. but you need to turn around on that branch and then jump.

You will jump directly on it.

Dont stand on the branch or you will jump over.

I had the same problem with an Animus piece on a small island (had to jump sideways off of a palm tree to get it). I think I had to try it over a dozen times before I actually got it. I'm guessing it's the same situation here (some of these could use a bit of "tweaking" in their position).

Keep at it I guess? Some people have 100% completion, so it's definitely possible to get it.

drop down and hold onto the branch like you are doing in the second photo. Then swing and jump to get the fragment. not sure of controller buttons. but on keyboard its E to drop down, shift + direction to swing, then space to jump.

You have to get creative with some of the fragments in Kingston.

I got it. from reverse position like in photo 1 and press FORWARD and B, and it will drop and hold branch like photo 2.
