You need to find the save game folder for the game which is likely to be here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\whateversetofrandomcodesyouhave \437
If you have the correct location you should find files like:
1.save
1.save.metadata
and so on.
In my case I found some suspicious files:
2.save.DELETED
2.save.metadata.DELETED
I backed up the whole folder to my desktop as is and then removed the "DELETED" part of the filenames (from the original folder).
I then ran the game back up and 10hrs of game re-appeared!"
Good luck!
does the addrees have to have (x86) on it? I tried copying until ...\savegames but it is not a proper address. So I did the search without (x86) and i did find the ubisoft folder but there is no 437 folder nor any save.Deleted files.
Click the gear icon from the top of the UPlay login screen, and DESELECT "Enable Cloud Save Synchronization for supported games", and the issue will go away.
Hopefully you can get your 52% save back from the methods above that others suggested, but MAKE SURE to turn off that cloud sync thing. That's what caused it in the first place.
I just went on with my life and continued where the last save was. I did turn off cloudsave as you guys have mentioned and I haven't had issues since. It was devastating, but blackflag really was too good to stay away from for too long.
The "x86" is for 32bit programs to go into. If you are running a 32bit version of Windows, you won't see the x86. If you are running the 64bit version, you will have two program files folders. the x86 is for 32bit and the one without anything is for 64bit programs.
Please, does anybody have a backup from sequence 10 or so? I don`t want to play everything, again.
