Help with Kenway's Fleet Please!
I have 14 docks, all filled up, and 2 Man'O'Wars in harbor, and 12 frigates on ship duty but have returned since it's been days since I sent them out. I have 6 Man'O'Wars which I just captured, but when I enter Kenway's fleet, These returned frigates do not report in first, which means that for my 6 newly captured Man'O'Wars, I have to decide either to Add More Docks (which I do not have enough gems for and do not want to sacrifice my Man'O'Wars) or Salvage a Ship (which are my 2 harbored Man'O'Wars).

Is there a way to allow my 12 frigates to report in first BEFORE the game asks me to decide what to do with my Man'O'Wars so that I can salvage 6 frigates and replace them with all my new Man'O'Wars?

Because now, the 12 frigates only report in after I do something with my Man'O'Wars (either salvage them for add docks- which still means salvaging them to get gems to add dock for them). Which means I will lose all of my 6 Man'O'Wars and still retain my 12 frigates, when what I want to do is retain 6 frigates and replace the other 6 with all my new Man'O'Wars.

Thanks.

Hmm, I seem to recall there being an option along the lines of "ignore / decide later" what you want to do with your captured ships. I am pretty sure I once had that option however I had no ships coming back from missions at that time. It might be that this is inferring with this option -
this is of course just a guess from my end.

I do not believe that you can handle your mission ships before your captured ships, I've never been able to do that.

The "Ignore For Now" option only appears when there are no ships in harbor (which means all ships are out on duty, or have just returned, but before they are docked in harbor). The problem is I have 2 ManoWars in harbor, so the option to ignore does not appear for me, and I can only choose to either add more docks (no gems to add docks) or salvage my 2 harbored mano-wars, or salvage my 6 new manowars. Even though my 12 frigates have returned, but mission ships reports do not come in before I choose what to do with captured ships.

Yes, I have understood your problem before but as you said yourself "option only appears when there are no ships in harbor" - so there is that. If that is the trigger to be able to skip past your "add to fleet / salavage" option then I see no possibility to do what you want to do.

So either

1) You scuttle your current ships in your harbor ( your 2 Man O'Wars ) and replace these two with the best two of the six you've captured and salavage the rest
2) You salvage as many Man O'Wars of your captured six as possible to create a new dock in your harbor - if that is a possibility for the gems your gain through this process - and then add as many as you can

I don't see any other option for you as the game doesn't let you handle it in a different way. I wish one could do what you want to do but I doubt the game lets you do that - which is nonetheless a shame and I understand your frustration.

I don't know if it is possible because I am not that far along in the game but couldn't you capture enough easier ships like level 38 frigates and salvage them for the gems until you can open a new dock? Since you have so many man-o-wars your Jackdaw must be strong enough to capture loads of ships quickly.

The problem with this is that the ships you capture later also appear later in the salvage dialog. So he would always get the 6 captured Man O'Wars first and then the "newly captured smaller ships". You cannot skip to the later ships either it's a set queue on "first-captured-first-salvaged" basis unfortunately.

Yes, the developers really need to change this and allow us to choose instead of following the queue. However, if there are no ships in harbor at all, then we could skip the queue by using Ignore and proceed to salvage the smaller (captured later) frigates first (and use the gems for docks) as he mentioned before deciding to add docks to house the ManOWars.

Just because there are already ships in harbor, the option to cut the queue is lost. This is a very stupid logic from the developers and makes no sense.

Man 'o Wars aren't too difficult to capture, it sucks but it's not a big loss.

I found a workaround so long as you have the AC4 Blackflag iPad app. That one actually allows you to accept all your inbound ships BEFOREHAND so you can then replace them with whatever's in harbor.

THANK YOU! I had captured about 30 ships while my others were on missions, and I was totally pissed that it seemed I wasn't going to be able to swap my inferior ships out for the newer ones. Sadly this app isn't available on many of my Android devices, but it was available on my tablet. Thank you again!

I have the exact same problem as you. I'll probably have to scrap the new Man o' Wars.

So this is still a problem after nearly 2 years.
