Is 30 fps playable?

I realease that everyone is finding it very hard to achieve 60 fps, so perhaps lock the frame rate to 30?

The PS4 and Xbone are running the game at 30fps, Does anyone use a controller to play this game?

I have:
FX 6300 @ 4.2ghz
7870 OC
8gb

I almost always play games at 60 fps becasue that is what I consider "smooth" but is 30fps with a controller that bad? surely it would be just the same as playing it on next gen console?

I would love to have lowest settings and 60fps but that seems impossible atm.

So I can play at 720p low settings 30fps? no thanks, if im gonna play it I'll play it at 1080p high settings 30fps. Dark SOuls was perfectly playable at 30fps with a controller, so I'm hoping AC4 will be too

24fps or higher is optimal, 60fps gives a smooth illusion... anything higher than that frankly you wont notice.

Bear in mind motion pictures display in the cinema's at 24fps (unless you watch the few films at 48fps that now exist) - if its good enough for the movies...

I don't mean frames in general (BF4 at 30fps feels horrible, but in arma it feels fine)

30 fps is fine every console uses 30 fps and those sell millions, most people get 25fps on AC4 which is fine too since the game is playable, wanting 60fps on pc isnt needed its just a luxury as the devs said on the ubisoft official forums so wouldnt be supported.

Yes, I have a GTX460 and my FPS is around 30fps, sometimes dipping to 27 or so, and it's still fine, anything lower and it's choppy, this is in dense areas, other times it's in the 40s. I have no problem enjoying the game.
