sound problem

ever since the last uplay update i think it was like 1 or 2 days ago, i have had sound issues with the game, no ship explosions during cannon fire, footsteps randomly missing, no rain sound etc, its very annoying, does anyone else get that or know how to fix it?

Not sure how to fix it exactly other than restarting the game (sorry!) but I've seen the same thing. Usually after taking one of the diving missions as far as I can tell, though a few people have reported having it happen after cinematic sections in plot missions etc too.

yeah i even reinstalled the game but still nothin x.x

yea the diving is bugged if you do a diving mission and return to the ship without using the diving bell you will get a no sound bug

I've had it happen when using the diving bell to return as well, so I think it can happen either way. Other than that I've not seen it happen at all, so I figured it was something to do with those missions.

Same issue here. Once I stop hearing mortar sounds, I know its time to restart the game.

so maybe i should try diving again and returning since a restart seems not to work, thanks guys i'll try that

That might work, though not always. I tried it twice and once it sorted it, the other time it didn't. good luck. Also, by restarting the game I'm referring to exiting back to desktop and the Uplay client. Just going to main menu won't fix it at all.

Half the sound is missing from AC4 for me. Even the title menu is missing the menu movement sounds, although the music still plays. Problem with the audio mixer in the game?
