Can you adandon side quests?

Here is the thing, in Havanna I started an assassin mission. I went over and screwed it up. It said come back later. Now they never appear again, I am uncredited, and I can't seem to restart the side mission.

Is there anyways to fix this? abandon quest somehow? I tried verifying files, maybe I can edit something in a ini file or what have you?

I've died many times, exited the game, exited the animus. Nothing and the guy I'm suppose to kill is hiding in the bushes, but killing him does nothing.

I had that happen once, and I just kept going around havanna, and a while later (maybe 20 mins?) a notification popped up saying the target has reappeared.

You can't restart a memory that isn't complete, nor can you restart assassin missions. These are the side quests.

Ok I've ran around for an hour, died, exited, etc etc. Quest bugged out and I can't make the game think I either completed it, or abandon it. I hope this sorta thing gets patched

nah you cant. you have to either start a new game or just deal with the annoying side activity notification that takes up like the entire top left portion of your screen
