Let's start from the top, shall we?
-Combat hasn't changed much, 'tis true, but it has gotten better. At least now you can't just counter your way through every enemy.
-Naval combat is as varied as land-based combat. It is hard to argue that with the variety of sea conditions, the numerous types of enemies, and the arsenal of weapons at your disposal that it 'gets old' faster than combat on land.
-The only stealth I remember in the first game were benches and haystacks. As for forgiving, I haven't noticed any difference between the first game and this one. In fact, I'd venture to say less forgiving, as most story missions require you to remain undetected throughout.
-Wasn't it always that way? Just holding forward and hoping for the best?
-Again, this is different from the first game how?
-Yes, the story is dull. If you want story, you go to Bioware. They make awesome games. If you just want to fool around in an open world, you can do worst than Ubisoft. Also, Please endeavor to keep our forums clean of derogatory language.
-Valid point, and I agree with you. Doesn't make sense to me either.
There aren't that many cutscenes. And bloody near every game is 'go from A to B and kill dude while you're at it.' I think they did well, considering how varied the game is. In fact, I'd be willing to wager that most of the game's budget went to the side content as opposed to the main questline. And if you can defeat all four Legendary ships subconsciously, I will be extremely impressed.
Really now..On what basis did you decide to take it upon yourself to say he doesn't own the game? What...because it's not listed on his Steam account?...
Guess what genious, this game isn't listed on my Steam account either, but I own it, so are you going to try and tell me I don't own it as well?
Got news for you, little chimp..Life doesn't revolve around Steam and Steam isn't the only people who sell copies of a game. But of course you wouldn't know that because you somehow have deluded yourself into believing Steam runs everything, and if they don't have it no one has it legitimately. If you bothered to stop and think, you'd know why that part of your reply is stupid.
jokes aside, OF COURSE ITS A FREAKING LINEAR STORY. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A FREAKING OPEN WORLD STORY?
I have, it's a game called Holliday with your inlaws.
Why are you posting this on a PC forum then? Half the appeal of this game (for me anyway) were the visuals. And I don't even want to look for myself at how terrible the game looks on 360 compared to playing it on the PC.
Secondly the graphics for games haven't changed in the past 7 years. You're confusing Graphics wih level of detail, More detail doesn't mean the graphics have changed.
in essence we have a barely functional horrid looking (aside from the water which is downright beautiful) boring forgettable lazy tiresome trash heap of a franchise that has died a game ago and now is being beaten by a company that clearly has no respect for what they have created, if they wanted to improve this game they can make it more and more stealthy, assassins creed 2 is regarded as the best of the franchise, this is because they cleaned up the bugs in the first one, made real improvements to the engine, massive graphics update, amazing storyline that literally had me on the edge of my seat, an actual stealth system that felt tense and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i felt like an assassin playing that game.
This blatent bastardization of a franchise is ridiculous and this is my most hated game of 2013 is assassins creed 4. ♥♥♥♥ this game and ubisoft has lost a loyal customer this year.
I have been playing Assassin since the 1st one and the FIRST ASSASSIN is THE BEST!!
It was only repetitive, but the story was amazing, where all it started, there are many religious concepts that fit Assassin I to the "real world" (and I have been studying religions for more than 2 decades). The jews and in the "search for the fruit of life", the templars and kings. There is too much in there!
Ezio has the best storyline and follows the templars and the spiritual world he found between those adventures.
Black Flag is terrible, you eavesdrop 50% of the game (where I stop playing). There is just absolutely nothing there. Rogue follows the same ♥♥♥♥ principles as Black Flag.
I think people liked Black Flag because (they literally don't understand Assassin creed's story) so they think it's a pirate game.
