...Congratulations, you now need to, what, fast travel? Like, what is it you want people to do if you DO screw that up?
Also, if guns seriously take two minutes to reload, how long would ship battles physically take you? Do you really want to spend half an hour every single time you see a ship?
nevermind gun reloads... lets talk positioning to even get to use the given weapons... limited movement due to real sailing physics... taking others wind...
you must be some kind of naval god to want this...
also, the ship rams would disable or sink a ship in one hit half the time, whilst locking your ship in place allowing the enemy to board your ship off the bow, what you are describing (forgive me for not reading it all, I'm on my way out in a minute) doesn't seem like it would mesh with the current game due to the generally arcadey nature of assassins creed (more realistic loading times wouldn't really hurt it though) but is basically what people have been saying for years, we need a good pirate game, even if AC4 suffices for a lot of people... I personally like it the way it is but I wouldn't argue with a game that allowed for more realism...
Edit: You should see if you can get a hold of the old Pirates of the Caribbean RPG from about 2005, it had a lot more in depth ship upgrading and such with buying a ship with a bigger hold and larger guns (rather than these ones are gold and therefore somehow better) and a lot of trading etc. who cares about the undead skeletons running around :P
Unfortunately it just wasn't that much fun as a whole other than the ships...
Like swab the deck or sand the deck or how about a keep your crew members happy mini and if u fail you lose the ship.
Video games are for fun...
I would rather have the entire AI reworked and having stealth actually work.
Where Chainshots actually destroyed an enemys ship sail, making it unable to move instead of "stunning" them.
Srsly, "stunning" a ship... What kind of 25 hours per day CoD playin idiot had that idea?!
And where the direction the Wind comes from actually mattered...
The only thing it lacks in camparison to AC4 is the graphics (It looks similar to Mount and Blade) but the gameplay is still amazing.
